Our Goal
Bring researchers and practitioners together to improve practice and advance the field of CAT.
In an effort to further CAT research and demonstrate appropriate applications of CAT procedures, the conference will primarily focus on research detailing applications of CAT and innovations in CAT models and technology.

- Measurement professionals who wanted to learn and exchange ideas and research
- Newcomers interested in expanding their knowledge
Opportunities to discuss research experiences and interests with other professionals were offered during paper presentations and discussions. An optional Pre-Conference Workshop geared toward building a foundation for item response theory and CAT was led by David J. Weiss, a pioneer and expert in the field.
Conference Format
The 2009 conference followed on the very successful GMAC CAT conference held in 2007. The conference was structured around submitted paper presentations, with a strong emphasis placed on practical research detailing applications of CAT and new innovations.
