How to Become a GMAT® Score-Report Recipient

GMAT® Scores and Your School

GMAT scores give admissions professionals one element of the application that is a consistent measure. The GMAT exam was created to measure the academic abilities needed to succeed in graduate management education, and it is administered throughout the year in more than 81 countries.

Schools that use the GMAT exam have access to test takers through a variety of GMAC services. These programs can—

  • Advertise their recruiting events on mba.com, the Council’s student website.
  • Choose to participate in the MBA Pathfinder® Data Warehouse, a school search database on mba.com that allows applicants to find your program if it meets the search criteria they select.
  • Use the Graduate Management Admission Search Service® (GMASS®) product, an annual names subscription service offering access to potential graduate business school students. The GMASS product is only available to those programs that use the GMAT exam in their admissions or aid determination process.

Eligibility Requirements

To receive GMAT scores, you must be a degree-granting institution that offers graduate-level programs in business and management. Your institution must be accredited to grant degrees. The applying program must agree to use the GMAT test as an admission criterion and must agree to abide by the Terms of Use Agreement.

You can also apply to receive GMAT scores if you are an approved organization that provides scholarships, fellowships, or other types of aid in the areas of graduate business and management education.

Advertising Your Recipient Status

In your admissions materials and on your website, direct applicants to take the GMAT exam and to select your program as a score-report recipient. If you are approved to receive GMAT scores and have been assigned your GMAT program code, your program will be added to the list that test takers use to select their score-report recipients. Once a candidate has selected your program, the scores will automatically be sent to your program or made available on our Score-Reporting website.
